Healthcare professional network
LILVA
As CTO, I led the build of LILVA with the Admix Lab team: a career network where doctors, nurses and pharmacists in the UAE keep a professional profile, follow peers, apply for jobs and request license transfers, in English or Arabic. One Next.js API serves the mobile app, lilva.ae, the employer portal and the admin console.

- v1.5.0 live on the App Store and Google Play; first iOS release 26 March 2026
- Five apps in one monorepo: mobile, web, employer portal, admin console and the API that serves them
- 219 API routes, 71 data models, about 117,000 lines of TypeScript
- English and Arabic on every surface, with full right-to-left layouts
Challenge
LILVA wanted one place where healthcare professionals in the UAE could keep a professional profile, follow peers, find work and handle licensing paperwork, such as moving a license between health authorities, in English or Arabic.
Its first version, built in March 2026, was something else: a healthcare festival and marketplace system (tickets, booths, QR check-in, products) spread across separate admin, partner and mobile codebases. Within weeks it had to become a professional network on iOS, Android and the web, with paid tools for employers to follow, and it could never hold patient data.
Approach
With the Admix Lab team, I merged v1 into one Turborepo monorepo. A single Next.js 16 API (219 route files, Prisma 7 on PostgreSQL, 71 models) serves the Expo app, lilva.ae, the employer portal and the admin console through shared db, auth, UI, API-client and types packages.
In April 2026 LILVA pivoted to a professional network. We built the feed, connections, messaging, profiles and jobs, licensing services run by the LILVA team, and a Premium tier that includes an Apple Wallet business card. Purchases are verified on the server through Stripe, the App Store Server API and the Google Play Developer API, and one entitlement resolver stops the three from overwriting each other.
Store rules shaped the build: subscription disclosures, official Apple and Google sign-in buttons, no external payment links on Android, a public delete-account page, and a Recruiter activation that hands off to the web without showing a price in the app. A release-readiness security audit and a hardening pass followed in September 2026.
Impact
LILVA 1.5.0 is live on the App Store (released 10 October 2026) and Google Play (updated 13 October 2026), and lilva.ae and the employer portal run on Vercel. Healthcare professionals build a profile, apply for jobs and request license transfers in the app, and use the feed, messages and jobs on lilva.ae.
Employers sign up with a verified email, activate a Recruiter plan, post jobs and move candidates from submitted to hired. The LILVA team verifies doctors, moderates the feed, reviews license-transfer documents and checks billing health from a bilingual console.
Release 1.5.0 passed typechecks on all five apps, production builds of the three web apps and iOS and Android exports, and the API unit suite reached 1,572 passing tests by 13 October 2026.
Healthcare professionals
Website
lilva.ae introduces the network and hosts the public license-transfer request form. Signed-in members use the feed, network, messages and jobs on the web.
- A four-step license-transfer request form for moving a license between UAE health authorities
- Member web app: feed, connections, messages, jobs, applications, license requests and Premium through Stripe Checkout
- Public profiles at lilva.ae/@handle, which the QR code on each business card opens
- One-time email codes for sign-up, accepted in Arabic-Indic digits too, with complete English and Arabic layouts

Doctors, nurses and pharmacists
Mobile app
One Expo codebase ships the iOS and Android apps, with five tabs: Home, Network, Post, Jobs and Services. Version 1.5.0 is live on both stores.
- A healthcare-only feed with comments, likes, saves and shares, plus connections and direct, group and support messaging
- Jobs with type, emirate and salary filters, Easy Apply with the stored CV, saved jobs and an application tracker
- A digital business card in four styles, with a QR code and an Apple Wallet pass
- Premium through Apple and Google in-app billing, verified on the server, and a Recruiter Hub for company owners

Recruiters at clinics and hospitals
Employers portal
partners.lilva.ae is where clinics and hospitals open a recruiter account, take a Recruiter plan, post jobs and move applicants through a hiring pipeline.
- Three-step sign-up (details, emailed code, password), then onboarding and team invitations
- Recruiter plan through Stripe Checkout and the customer portal; job posts stay visible only while the plan is active
- Applicant pipeline from submitted to hired or rejected, talent search by profession and experience, and funnel analytics
- A one-time sign-in link, valid for 120 seconds, takes a recruiter from the app to the portal with no price shown in the app

LILVA operations team
Admin console
The LILVA team runs the network from here: verifying doctors, moderating the feed, working through licensing requests and checking billing, in English or Arabic.
- 19 sections, from members, doctor verification and companies to feed moderation, reports and jobs
- License-transfer review with signed links to each uploaded document
- Subscriptions with a Stripe billing-health check and a resync action, plus an affiliate commission ledger
- Scheduled bilingual push broadcasts with audience targeting, super-admin role control and audit-logged admin actions

Earlier version
v1 (March 2026)
LILVA first reached the App Store in March 2026 as a healthcare festival and marketplace app, with tickets, a shop and jobs. In April it became a professional network, and we took the festival features off the navigation without deleting their code.
- v1: separate admin, partner and mobile codebases; its API (71 routes, 27 data models) lived inside the admin app
- v2: one monorepo from 23 March 2026, with a dedicated API and shared TypeScript packages
- Now: 219 API routes and 71 data models in one shared API
