Prayer, health and focus app
Yaumi
An in-house Admix Lab app in pre-release development (v0.1.0), built in React Native and Expo on Supabase. Claude estimates calories from meal photos, sorts voice notes into tasks and notes, plans workouts and writes a nightly coach note. The screens shown are from its design prototype.

Individual users. Prayers, meals, movement, focus, sleep and tasks roll up into one Day Score out of 100 on the Home tab. Screens are from the design prototype.
- 39 screens: six tabs, onboarding, settings, sign-in and flows
- Supabase backend: 10 Edge Functions, row-level security on all 16 tables
- English and Arabic, 990 translation keys in each
- Five complete visual themes
Challenge
For a practicing Muslim professional, the day is spread across single-purpose apps: prayer times, calorie tracking, workouts, sleep, focused study and language learning. Each wants its own sign-up, notifications and attention, so the useful ones go unopened.
The brief was one calm app that treats prayer as seriously as macros, sees the whole day, and lets you close it once you are done.
Approach
I designed Yaumi first as an interactive HTML prototype with six tabs, five themes and a guided onboarding; the screens on this page come from it. I then built the app in React Native and Expo, with theme tokens that mirror the prototype, HealthKit for steps, active energy and sleep, and a custom Swift module with a DeviceActivity extension that blocks chosen apps through Screen Time.
Everything feeds one Day Score out of 100 on Home: prayers carry 25 points, nutrition 20, movement 20, focus 15, sleep 10 and tasks 10. If prayer tracking is off, its share is spread proportionally across the other five.
AI runs on the server in Supabase Edge Functions. Claude Sonnet 4.6 reads meal photos and InBody printouts, sorts brain dumps into tasks, notes and journal entries in both languages, plans workouts, writes Feed cards and writes each user's coach note late in their evening. Claude Haiku 4.5 sorts Gmail highlights into urgent, priority, info and promo, and Whisper transcribes voice.
Impact
Yaumi is a v0.1.0 codebase in pre-release development, targeting iOS 17 and later: 39 screens, English and Arabic with 990 keys each and right-to-left layouts, sign-in with Apple, Google or an email magic link, a RevenueCat subscription paywall and in-app account deletion. EAS build profiles are configured; it is not on the App Store yet.
The backend is designed for privacy: row-level security on all 16 tables, read-only Google scopes with refresh tokens encrypted by a key held in Supabase Vault, and scheduled jobs that read their secrets from Vault.

App
Prayers, meals, movement, focus, sleep and tasks roll up into one Day Score out of 100 on the Home tab. Screens are from the design prototype.
- Pray: AlAdhan prayer times (Gulf Region method), a prayed log with streaks, Qibla direction and reminders
- Food and Fit: Claude estimates calories and macros from a meal photo, reads InBody printouts and writes a weekly workout plan
- Focus: study sessions that block chosen apps through iOS Screen Time
- Brain dump: Whisper transcribes a voice note and Claude sorts it into tasks, notes and a journal entry

Themes
Five complete visual themes, each defined as a set of design tokens in the app's code. Shown here on the Home screen of the design prototype.
- Apple Clean, Apple Dark, Dark Luxury, Organic Calm and Midnight Sage
- Follows the iPhone's light or dark mode, or stays on one chosen theme
- Theme tokens in the app are TypeScript objects that mirror the prototype's CSS variables
- Inter for the interface, IBM Plex Sans Arabic for Arabic, Instrument Serif for display type in Organic Calm
