Overview
The drone is a 6-inch cruiser-type quad designed for smooth, long-range missions rather than freestyle or racing.
The frame is fully 3D-printed, with electronics like motors, FC, vTX, and camera selected and assembled manually for maximum flexibility.
Frame & Assembly
The frame is split into a bottom chassis, motor arms, upper chassis, camera mounts, and a rear mount for antennas and wiring.
Printed parts are optimized for strength and ease of assembly, using PETG and reinforced mounting points.
Sensors & Smart Behavior
A proximity sensor was added to detect walls and obstacles and maintain a safe distance while flying indoors.
Custom microcontroller code processes sensor data in real time, adjusting the drone’s behavior for safer navigation.
